I Just Call You [MINE] ..

'Cause everyone that sees you always wants to know you
And everyone that knows you always has a smile
You're a standing ovation after years of waiting
For a chance to fall and shine
Everyone calls you amazing, I just call you mine

This song is from me to you Andrew. I love you "sunshine!" Is that not how this whole thing got started between us, so you told my parents ;) Precious thing, you.

NEWSFLASH:
Babyy boy Evan James Baker was born August 26, 2010 weighing 5lbs 6 oz! Andrew and I are so excited! He has already asked me, "baby, can we go see the baby again this week!?" He could just eat him up. Andrew is so good with kids and I am thankful for that. It sure does look as if we will be keeping Evan's brother and sister a little bit until the tiny baby gets settled in! (which is fine with us!- Andrew and I sure do love some Colin Scott and Madi Grace).

BIG SMILE

Hello everyone, Sorry it has been SO long since I have posted! I have started back school and DO have a job =) So, when I find time to jump up here, I do. Since the last post Andrew and I have finished up the “produce business” for this season and couldn’t have asked for it to go ANY better than it did! I felt like a little [farmers wifey] driving around on his big Ford truck hauling produce.. As of now I am continuing to work on a new (precious) brochure for this next season and with some minor adjustments. We are changing a few things for this next growing season! I am also working on designing a business card for Andrew.
Up on all of this my school plans are CHANGING! Ahh..

So originally I had planned to do PTA (physical therapy assistant). I was on the waiting list this Fall for Martin Community College in Williamston, although I have COMPLETELY re-grouped! I wanted more than a 2 year degree and all PTA has to offer is the 2-year degree or the PT which is a doctorates degree and I do not want that stress nor do I want the paperwork! So.. from there Andrew and I sat down and discussed options and “future plans,” and he advised me on what he would like me to do for now. He is so good to me—(Just thought I’d add that tid-bit!) Conclusion, I am going to stay at Nash Tech with plans to graduate next semester with an AS Degree (Associate in Science). From there I am planning on working at :possibly: a pharmaceutical company in Wilson. Then comes the house, new car.. ex! When this gets established I am then going to do the Adult Degree program at NC Wesleyan and take 2-3 classes a week at night to obtain my Bachelors in Business Management- [BOSS].

But, for now Andrew and I are doing wonderful; as always. Just this past weekend we went to the beach and decided to stay with his Aunt Amy and Uncle Neil for the weekend! We had a BLAST! They had been asking us for a while to come stay with them, so we did.. I guess that’s fair seeing that we had been with his immediate family and mine all summer at the beach. We are defiantly ready to get back in our normal church routine! We have not been to Sunday school or church in quite a while and we are missing our Sunday school group. Mentioning that I have been praying about a few things here lately, one of them being jealousy- I DO NOT quite understand sometimes how people tend to act the way they do all because they seem to be jealous (or what I’m told). One always has to have something “up” on the other! I mean, hell—ooo! How old are we here? So I have begun praying for one specific situation, and the Lord has told me no longer to worry, act myself for he has made me from His image, and He will take care of the rest! This has been such a relief to me! I have quit bothering with the situation and therefore relieved!! =) Jealousy can be a terrible sickness, so get well soon!

Matthew 6:34
34Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."

With this being said, I hope everyone out there reading this is doing well, for Andrew and I are! Love is a beautiful thing! Every day I thank the Lord because I do not believe there is a relationship out there as passionate and giving as Andrew and I’s- We are truly blessed to have one another and have such a great connection made for only he and I to understand. Our love is what gives us the glow we walk with, the smile on our face and the joy in our hearts! I love you TAS!

Oh, I forgot to mention, the newest addition will be here next Thursday! My precious little babyy boy cousin discussed in previous posts! We are so excited and cannot hardly wait to get our hands on him! Pictures as soon as I see him (name not revieled until birth)! I swear, babies are always coming off in my family- As my dad would say, "Dont they know whats causing that?!" LOL! TOO FUNNY!
And man, does the little girl Maddie Grace LOVE ANDREW! She is Andrews girl for sure!

Down for the count!

Well, Well, seeing that I now have quite a bit of time on my hands from having a tonsillectomy Tuesday July 6th I am able to blog! Yay! I apologize for it being so long since I have given or showed details of what has been going on for us. Andrew and I have been so busy!
So to begin with where I fully left off:

1) Andrew graduated from NC STATE in May. This was such an exciting day for us both although extremely long! He graduated with a Agricultural Business degree with plans to work at the family business: Strickland Bros in Spring Hope, NC as a "project manager." He is so excited and I am just excited for him.. My family and I threw him a graduation party and you could tell he greatly appreciated it. We had between 30-40 people there and Andrew and I's Sunday school teacher made there appearance which we were excited to see due to the fact we did not know they were coming! My dad told him if he could graduate that he (my dad) would buy him the glock/pistol of his choice, and he did. I will post a few pictures for each subject, so enjoy!

2) We recently had our 2 year anniversary on June 8, 2010. He was so sweet to send flowers to my work which he does often.. :)

3) Uhmn, I believe next was Andrews parents decided they wanted a beach house and it happens to be right down from my families! We sure have enjoyed ourself and the times well spent, sitting with my family on the swing or porch, enjoying the beautiful sunsets, riding on my families kiacks (or however you spell it!) Everytime we go to the beach he makes it a point at SOME TIME during the weekend to carry me to Baskin Robins in Morehead, MY FAVORITE! He is so good to me, and Lord I am so thankful. We are very good at weighting the scale for each other to make sure each of our needs are met. If this means I have to ride on the tractor with him in the garden to plow because he wants me to.. I will. Or if I need him to stay home from 1 church softball game for a "quality time" night together from doing produce all week together with no time to sit and appreciate each other, he will! So with that aspect of our relationship I could not be any more pleased with Andrew. We work so well together.

4) We went to Key West, FL. Man, did we have a great time! We had a time share down there from Saturday June 19th through the 26th right next to some of my families time share! So we decided we would leave out Friday June 18th and fly to Orlando then to Ft. Laurderdale. My uncle is a police for the Orlando airport do he was there to meet us as soon as we arrived off of the plane! From there we flew to Ft. Laurderdale, rented a vehicle and stayed the night with my great aunt. The next morning we woke up and made our way to the Florida Keys! What a beautiful ride and the most amazing color water! In some of these pictures you will see our place we stayed, family, my down syndrome cousin that came for 2 days to visit and boy did she L-O-V-E Andrew, deep sea fishing pictures, family dinners, Bi-Plane ride pictures, Key West/ key west roosters: they run around anywhere and every where down there.. and whatever else I decide to post!

To be continued later.. Have to run!

5) So, After we got back from Key West, FL Andrew and I had a little down time to look a truck.. Yep, and he found one! So no more little white F150 now- :( He bought a F250 4-Door green with a tan bottom. Yep, those NNHS colors!! :) He always knew what was best for him! So for the past week or so we sure have been enjoying that nice new, H-U-G-E truck!

6) After this was said and done I was scheduled to have a tonsillectomy July 6th at 8:00 AM. So I was to be there at 6 AM that morning for pre-op procedures. Whew! Has it been a tough one- beginning to get better! Andrew has been so sweet even though I have been so ill due to the pain. He was so precious the other night when he brought me some beautiful flowers, his face was priceless. Nothing like being knocked out on Lortab, nauseated from pain medicine because you have NOTHING on your stomach from not being able to down anything and then throwing-up from 12 noon until 5 PM from over dosing on WATER for goodness sake! Lucky enough I was able to buy me a new LCD for my room before surgery.. So nothing like laying in bed and watching Discovery Health!
Along with this, my best friend: Adriann Gray called me soon after I was out of surgery and told me her father was killed in a car accident the night before. So after being sick all day yesterday, I made the attemt to get myself together and be there for her during her fathers wake. RIP "GRIP", you will be missed! The good times will never be forgotten.

So with all of this said, enjoy until next time. I am going to try and make it to Parkwoods softball game tonight. Stay in touch.

Sea for yourself, Florida

I do not have the time to fully "blog" right this minute, although we are home safe after 9 days on vacation and have really enjoyed ourself while we were gone. Lots to show and tell! Andrew and I have determined that the FL waters are one of the most attractive things to enjoy and soak up. There was NO OIL and as of now, we are trying to decide if we want to go back next year :) Here are just a few pictures to hold you guys until I can find the time to get back up here..

At Sawgrass Mills Mall on the way home in Ft. Laurderdale FL.: The Rainforest Cafe.

The necklace Andrew bought me in Key West- My charm is a boat propellor: how precious! :)

Too busy to think straight

So, as mentioned I have not had alot of time to myself, let alone this computer.. so I appologize. I promise I will get pictures up here soon. Just not today. Well, It is a day before Andrew and I leave to go to Key West, FL with my parents for 9 days and I have done NO packing nor laundry! I guess I am just too busy making Andrew a list so he does not forget anything =)
I am so excited but also in a whirlwind! I have got nothing done. It is 8:41 am on Thursday and I am about to leave the house to go get my nails done, my toes done, my hair "did" at the Garden Day Spa at 1:30 and waxed.. Then I still have to look for a new pair of PJ's! AND I have yet to wash clothes! I keep going out buying new ones as if the ones at home will wash theirself.. OhMan! I had to go buy a new pocketbook like that was really a :priority:, now I just have to find a wallet to match it! So this is my day.

Well, on the flip side- Andrew and I have been doing very well, as usual. We recently had our 2 year anniversary on Jube 8th 2010. I thought it was so sweet when he sent me flowers to work. (He is great at doing just the right thing everyday to make me smile) The following day we went on a date to Raleigh to eat dinner at Firehouse in North Hills Mall. That place is SOO good! Inbetween the normal day to day grind we are still doing well with the produce business. It sure has been keeping us busy!
Ohhhh! And WOO-HOO Parkwood Baptist Church! As of right now we are in 1st place in softball! We played Taylors Chapel the other night for the first place title and won 20 to 12. Andrew enjoys playing church softball! Great job guys..
Well, I guess until Andrew and I get back from vacation this is it folks! Glory be to God, for we all are blessed.

Love, Love, Love.

Happy 2 year Anniversary to Andrew and I! He just sent flowers to my work.. How sweet :) I love him so much babbbbyy! Pictures soon.

On the GO

Heyyy folks! Sorry it has been a while. Andrew and I stay pretty darn busy.. First it was Andrews graduation from STATE: YaY, then it was his graduation party at my house.. After that his folks decided to get a place at the beach right down from my family's so we have been beaching it for the past few weekends..! Man, I was ready for a break!
Upon all of this I have really realized how blessed I am with Andrew by my side. I can honestly say we are a one-of-a-kind couple. We RARELY ever fuss nor argue. We get along SO great and are always there to uplift the other. For that I am thankful.

As my family decided to host a graduation party for Andrew on Saturday May 22, 2010 we were so greatful for his whole family and my whole family to be there as well as a few of our friends. We had a great time and it was BEAUTIFUL weather. As our L-O-N-G country driveway was lined with red and white balloons I was so proud of all that Andrew had accomplished. He graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture Business Management with plans to work with his dad at the family business. My family is so proud of him and the young man he is becoming. As stated in earlier post my dad told Andrew if he could graduate that he would buy him a pistol of his choice.. So Andrew and I went to a gun shop, picked one out and he ended up getting this the night of the graduation party.. Pictures will be up another day. (Im running on borrowed time!)

No sooner than we could get done with graduation his folks decided that they wanted a place at the beach. This has worked out so good for us- My family has a place on the outside of Swansboro and it happens to be RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER from his family! So when we go to the beach we are together either at our place, or his. This past weekend we had a good time on the boat. My family was able to show his dad some of the "fishing spots" we enjoy, and the island we go on to layout! As we went out in the ocean fishing the weather was SO nice. We cought quite a few blue's and spanish. (pictures soon!) Andrew LOVES going out fishing, esp. with my uncle.. I believe Andrew wants to grow up and be just like him. :) Thats all I ever hear from him. LOL.

So. As we got back home and in the grind of things my mom called Andrew and said she found us a plane ticket to the FL Keys!! (She calls him WAY more than she calls me.) Upon this conversation she said that we would actually be leaving a day earlier! Yay! So, our plane flight out is Friday afternoon at 5:45pm on June 18th! I cannot imagine the plane flight into FL at sunset! A-MAZ-ING! We are so excited. My dad already told us that if we enjoy the time share this year that he would put a down payment before we leave for next year! :) How nice!

Well, I appologize for no pictures this time.. I am in a hurry to run to Bailey and "pack boxes" for our business since he has to work today. I will be back soon to post a few of each thing! If there is anything mis-spelled, again, Im sorry. Im in a tizzy :) Hope everyone enjoyed their weekend, we sure did!
Stay in touch!

Yahoooo!

So, I was pretty shocked to see that on the TOP 10 lowest paying jobs that being a teacher and a social worker was one of them. Would have never guessed that.. Ecp with a 4 year degree for both. My dad frequently prints mess like his off, and feels the need to share it with me. Although, that did catch my attention!

Hallelujah!

Wow! I am so excited that I pulled off a high B+ in A&P II! Lord knows I really wanted that!

On the side lines, Andrew and I's business started yesterday-- Man we couldn't have asked for things to go any better! We have formed such a great partnership with Rob and Courtney and for that we are blessed.

So I got up yesterday morning at 6AM and got ready, was at Andrews by 7AM. We had to go to Raleigh first thing that morning because Andrew had a final to take at 9AM. So as he took his test I stayed in the truck and did secretary-like things =) No sooner that I got started, he was done..
So we leave Raleigh and head to Perry's Gun Shop so Andrew can pick out a glock (pistol) that my dad is buying him for graduation. We talk about getting night-sights put on//this//that//&& the other. Paid for. Done. He will not see or get until the graduation party at my house.

So from this point on our day was slam packed!! Wilson deliveries, Home deliveries, Red Oak deliveries and then our Nashville and RMT drop - off locations!
Nashville 4:45-5:15
Rocky Mount 5:30-6:00
We were so impressed how every one was there to pick up their produce on time and in a fashionable manner. We had to wait on NO ONE! We were at each of our locations on time and out in no time. What a praise!

In looking back I am just in awe that this vision of Andrews has now become a reality for us. I remember the night Andrew and I started discussing this. I never doubted him (as some folks did) and I stuck by him through all of our planning and many nights making sure things were going to be :just right: for us to make it or break it. So I started designing a brochure with Andrew by my side to "tweak" it. We then had PILES of these printed and distributed/broadcasted.
Andrew set a goal for this year and that was to have 50 customers (with this being our first year). End the end, we ended up with a total of 85 customers! We were both very excited and have enjoyed every minute of everyday.
We sure have had many of double dates through this, making sure things were lined up in accordance for our partners in this- Rob Glover and Courtney Barbour. Thank you so much Rob (our farmer) & Courtney (his amazing girlfriend)! We couldn't have made yesterday go perfect without the help of you guys!

So after a L O N G day yesterday it was nice to still be able to sit on the porch and enjoy watching the sunset while gazing at each other with a smile on our face knowing that a simple vision can be an utter reality!

A night on the town

After finishing one of two online Medical Terminology II test's online I figured Id just take a brief minute to type.
After all school has gotten the best of me right now and my nerves- Never believed in a "chill pill" before now! Whew! Although I am really pleased with my grades, it has taken alot of hard work..

Tonight I am just so excited to finally be going on a double date to PF Chang! Andrew and I need some time away from school, studying and the ordinary lifestyle- A night to relax and enjoy the company of others. Im sure right about now the dog and cat are extremely tired of me reading my A&P II final review over and OVER to them! =) Ive enjoyed it.. I dont know about them. Gracie smiles, so I guess she likes it!

On the other hand, I am getting so excited about going to Key West I dont know what to do with myself! I have started working extra hours at work to stash back some [play-time] money* Ive heard about a Jet-ski tour around all of the islands in the Keys (3-4 hours). I believe that is something WE WILL be doing. Ive heard it is beautiful and undescribable!

I guess that means I need to get my rear in gear and get to the Planet Fitness and tone up and tan hard-- Thanks to my mom! She is the best.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Anatomy & Physiology II

I just wanted to get up here and vent, bc I am so proud of myself. Today I had my last A&P II Lab Practical (for life) and made a 97 A+! I was stunned- I looked at my teacher second guessing myself and said, "Me, a 97.. Now way!?"

Then to top it all off we had to do a 2nd test on the computer, which is what we call ADAM: (Since we dont have REAL dead folks' we do a computer simulation program) I made a 99 A+! I was so excited! I guess hard, stressful studing does pay off!

I am so proud of myself and I know Andrew is! I guess we both will be celebrating tonight in this beautiful weather the Lord has blessed us with today!

As of now I have 1 more final in A&P II and that will be Monday! Then I will be DONE with A&P for GOOD! Praise the Lord! This class has nearly wooped-my-hiney =)

Glory Be To God

I realize I have not been up here in quite a while to update the awesome things going on for Andrew and I.
As many of you are aware we started a "Community Supported Agriculture" business as shared in previous posts. We have exceeded our goal this year-- and give all the praise to Him! Andrew set a goal of 50 clients this year, being our first year doing this, and we are currently around 85! What a blessing this has been to us, and our excited clients! So, as the growing season approches we begin the [real deal] on May 4th. Our 1st delivery day! We will be covering Rocky Mount, Wilson, Nashville and good ole Red Oak. Therefore, If you see us at one of our "drop-off locations" stop in and speak. We'd love to hear from you.

As the school semester is about to come to an end for us both I am glad to announce that Andrew will be graduating from NC STATE on May 15, 2010 with a Bachelor's Degree in Agriculature Business. I am so proud of Andrew for all of the hard work he does IN & OUT of school. He has truly been a blessing in my life, and others as well. We will be throwing a graduation party at my house in Red Oak to celebrate all of his hard work.
As part of his graduation gift from my parents we will be going to Key West, FL in June to enjoy a piece of Heaven down further south.

Aside from our busy day to day lifestyle we :DO: have time to play!
Andrew and his daddy got us a little 17 ft boat to play around with and fish in the reservoir and in the marshes at the beach! Man have we sure enjoyed that small boat! There has not been a weekend yet that we have not gone out on the boat! Nothing like him fishing and me laying on the front catching rays :)

Hope each of you continue to do well.
With this having cought you guys up for a little while I will post a few pictures:

Key West, FL

Talk about excited! Andrew and I will be flying to the Florida Key's for a week with my parents in June! We cannot hardly wait! We both are so excited! Andrew graduates from STATE in May and this is going to be one of his treats* Nothing like going deep sea fishing in the gulf! My family in Florida will also be down there next to the us in a time share, and with a off shore boat for plenty of fishing! Lord, Thank you. We are so blessed. Without you this would not be made possible. Thank you.
