Nothing like freshly grown produce

As stated in a previous post Andrew and I are trying to do the "business thing.." To our surprise things are going GREAT! Greater than planned! Glory be to God- For anyone who is intrested in fresh local produce we have started what is "Community Supported Agriculture."

What Is Community Supported Agriculture (CSA)?
CSA is a contractual agreement between a farmer and a consumer. Each week during the growing season, every consumer recieves a CSA box filled with fresh, locally grown produce. Consumers known as shareholders purchase a share prior to the growing season. Each share will contain several different products every week throughout that month. Specific quantities or products will vary with weather conditions. Each shareholder establishes a close connection to the production of their food.

The produce we will be offering is: Strawberries, Cabbage, Garden Peas, Lettuce, Spring Onions, Broccoli, Okra, String Beans, New Potatoes, Corn, Cucumbers, Squash, Cantaloupe, Cabbage, Blackberries, Peas & Butterbeans (shelled), Tomatoes, Bell Peppers, Watermelon, and Sweet Potatoes.. Did I miss anything?

As mentioned earlier, Andrew and I both have brochures (that I designed) if you or someone you know is intrested :) Im assuming if you are up here you must know one of us! Andrew and I want to personally thank each of you who have already purchaced a CSA share this growing season- without you we could not have made it where we are now. It has been exciting and has opened new doors for the both of us.

He is Good, All the Time- All the Time, He is Good.

Andrew and I hope everyone had a great Valentine's Day. We sure did. The Lord has opened up new doors for the both of us to start a new series Sunday school class for couples that we are really enjoying-- Communication is the Key (how to speak in a Christ like way to your spouse and those around you). This week I am posting song lyrics and a video to Lee Ann Womack's new single: There is a God.
This song has really captured my heart lately and I hope that you will also get something out of it.
I have grown up as an ole' country girl, riding horses and looking out of my own back yard at hundred year old trees on the creek bank behind our house so this song really hits home. Enjoy!

Try and put your arms around
the 100 year old tree
Climb up on a horse
and let it run full speed
Take a look down at the world from 30,000 feet
on your next flight

Watch a flock of birds
against the morning sun
Close your eyes and listen
to the river run
Catch a firefly in your hand
or a raindrop on your tongue
That's right

Chorus:
There is a God
There is a God
There is a God
How much proof do you need?

Plant a seed and see
what comes out of the ground
Find the heartbeat on your baby's ultrasound
In a few years hear it laughing,
and don't it sound like a song?

Stop and think about
what you don't understand
Things like life and love
and how the world began
Hear the doctor say he can't explain it,
but the cancer is gone

Chorus:
There is a God
There is a God
There is a God
How much proof do you need?

Science says it's all just circumstance
Like this whole worlds just an accident
But if you want to shoot that theory down,
Look around

Just look around

There is a God
There is a God
There is a God,
How much proof do you need?

I'm trading my sorrow
I'm trading my shame
I'm laying it down for the joy of the Lord
I'm trading my sickness
I'm trading my pain
I'm laying it down for the joy of the Lord

Chorus:
And we say yes Lord yes Lord yes yes Lord
Yes Lord yes Lord yes yes Lord
Yes Lord yes Lord yes yes Lord Amen

I'm pressed but not crushed persecuted not abandoned
Struck down but not destroyed
I'm blessed beyond the curse for his promise will endure
And his joy's gonna be my strength
Though the sorrow may last for the night
His joy comes with the morning

Beside all of this we still have time for great friends and most of all each other*

Lord, WE Thank You for our many blessings, for we are nothing without you.
1 Corinthians 13:
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
