Down for the count!

Well, Well, seeing that I now have quite a bit of time on my hands from having a tonsillectomy Tuesday July 6th I am able to blog! Yay! I apologize for it being so long since I have given or showed details of what has been going on for us. Andrew and I have been so busy!
So to begin with where I fully left off:

1) Andrew graduated from NC STATE in May. This was such an exciting day for us both although extremely long! He graduated with a Agricultural Business degree with plans to work at the family business: Strickland Bros in Spring Hope, NC as a "project manager." He is so excited and I am just excited for him.. My family and I threw him a graduation party and you could tell he greatly appreciated it. We had between 30-40 people there and Andrew and I's Sunday school teacher made there appearance which we were excited to see due to the fact we did not know they were coming! My dad told him if he could graduate that he (my dad) would buy him the glock/pistol of his choice, and he did. I will post a few pictures for each subject, so enjoy!

2) We recently had our 2 year anniversary on June 8, 2010. He was so sweet to send flowers to my work which he does often.. :)

3) Uhmn, I believe next was Andrews parents decided they wanted a beach house and it happens to be right down from my families! We sure have enjoyed ourself and the times well spent, sitting with my family on the swing or porch, enjoying the beautiful sunsets, riding on my families kiacks (or however you spell it!) Everytime we go to the beach he makes it a point at SOME TIME during the weekend to carry me to Baskin Robins in Morehead, MY FAVORITE! He is so good to me, and Lord I am so thankful. We are very good at weighting the scale for each other to make sure each of our needs are met. If this means I have to ride on the tractor with him in the garden to plow because he wants me to.. I will. Or if I need him to stay home from 1 church softball game for a "quality time" night together from doing produce all week together with no time to sit and appreciate each other, he will! So with that aspect of our relationship I could not be any more pleased with Andrew. We work so well together.

4) We went to Key West, FL. Man, did we have a great time! We had a time share down there from Saturday June 19th through the 26th right next to some of my families time share! So we decided we would leave out Friday June 18th and fly to Orlando then to Ft. Laurderdale. My uncle is a police for the Orlando airport do he was there to meet us as soon as we arrived off of the plane! From there we flew to Ft. Laurderdale, rented a vehicle and stayed the night with my great aunt. The next morning we woke up and made our way to the Florida Keys! What a beautiful ride and the most amazing color water! In some of these pictures you will see our place we stayed, family, my down syndrome cousin that came for 2 days to visit and boy did she L-O-V-E Andrew, deep sea fishing pictures, family dinners, Bi-Plane ride pictures, Key West/ key west roosters: they run around anywhere and every where down there.. and whatever else I decide to post!

To be continued later.. Have to run!

5) So, After we got back from Key West, FL Andrew and I had a little down time to look a truck.. Yep, and he found one! So no more little white F150 now- :( He bought a F250 4-Door green with a tan bottom. Yep, those NNHS colors!! :) He always knew what was best for him! So for the past week or so we sure have been enjoying that nice new, H-U-G-E truck!

6) After this was said and done I was scheduled to have a tonsillectomy July 6th at 8:00 AM. So I was to be there at 6 AM that morning for pre-op procedures. Whew! Has it been a tough one- beginning to get better! Andrew has been so sweet even though I have been so ill due to the pain. He was so precious the other night when he brought me some beautiful flowers, his face was priceless. Nothing like being knocked out on Lortab, nauseated from pain medicine because you have NOTHING on your stomach from not being able to down anything and then throwing-up from 12 noon until 5 PM from over dosing on WATER for goodness sake! Lucky enough I was able to buy me a new LCD for my room before surgery.. So nothing like laying in bed and watching Discovery Health!
Along with this, my best friend: Adriann Gray called me soon after I was out of surgery and told me her father was killed in a car accident the night before. So after being sick all day yesterday, I made the attemt to get myself together and be there for her during her fathers wake. RIP "GRIP", you will be missed! The good times will never be forgotten.

So with all of this said, enjoy until next time. I am going to try and make it to Parkwoods softball game tonight. Stay in touch.

Sea for yourself, Florida

I do not have the time to fully "blog" right this minute, although we are home safe after 9 days on vacation and have really enjoyed ourself while we were gone. Lots to show and tell! Andrew and I have determined that the FL waters are one of the most attractive things to enjoy and soak up. There was NO OIL and as of now, we are trying to decide if we want to go back next year :) Here are just a few pictures to hold you guys until I can find the time to get back up here..

Too busy to think straight

So, as mentioned I have not had alot of time to myself, let alone this computer.. so I appologize. I promise I will get pictures up here soon. Just not today. Well, It is a day before Andrew and I leave to go to Key West, FL with my parents for 9 days and I have done NO packing nor laundry! I guess I am just too busy making Andrew a list so he does not forget anything =)
I am so excited but also in a whirlwind! I have got nothing done. It is 8:41 am on Thursday and I am about to leave the house to go get my nails done, my toes done, my hair "did" at the Garden Day Spa at 1:30 and waxed.. Then I still have to look for a new pair of PJ's! AND I have yet to wash clothes! I keep going out buying new ones as if the ones at home will wash theirself.. OhMan! I had to go buy a new pocketbook like that was really a :priority:, now I just have to find a wallet to match it! So this is my day.

Well, on the flip side- Andrew and I have been doing very well, as usual. We recently had our 2 year anniversary on Jube 8th 2010. I thought it was so sweet when he sent me flowers to work. (He is great at doing just the right thing everyday to make me smile) The following day we went on a date to Raleigh to eat dinner at Firehouse in North Hills Mall. That place is SOO good! Inbetween the normal day to day grind we are still doing well with the produce business. It sure has been keeping us busy!
Ohhhh! And WOO-HOO Parkwood Baptist Church! As of right now we are in 1st place in softball! We played Taylors Chapel the other night for the first place title and won 20 to 12. Andrew enjoys playing church softball! Great job guys..
Well, I guess until Andrew and I get back from vacation this is it folks! Glory be to God, for we all are blessed.

On the GO

Heyyy folks! Sorry it has been a while. Andrew and I stay pretty darn busy.. First it was Andrews graduation from STATE: YaY, then it was his graduation party at my house.. After that his folks decided to get a place at the beach right down from my family's so we have been beaching it for the past few weekends..! Man, I was ready for a break!
Upon all of this I have really realized how blessed I am with Andrew by my side. I can honestly say we are a one-of-a-kind couple. We RARELY ever fuss nor argue. We get along SO great and are always there to uplift the other. For that I am thankful.

As my family decided to host a graduation party for Andrew on Saturday May 22, 2010 we were so greatful for his whole family and my whole family to be there as well as a few of our friends. We had a great time and it was BEAUTIFUL weather. As our L-O-N-G country driveway was lined with red and white balloons I was so proud of all that Andrew had accomplished. He graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture Business Management with plans to work with his dad at the family business. My family is so proud of him and the young man he is becoming. As stated in earlier post my dad told Andrew if he could graduate that he would buy him a pistol of his choice.. So Andrew and I went to a gun shop, picked one out and he ended up getting this the night of the graduation party.. Pictures will be up another day. (Im running on borrowed time!)

No sooner than we could get done with graduation his folks decided that they wanted a place at the beach. This has worked out so good for us- My family has a place on the outside of Swansboro and it happens to be RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER from his family! So when we go to the beach we are together either at our place, or his. This past weekend we had a good time on the boat. My family was able to show his dad some of the "fishing spots" we enjoy, and the island we go on to layout! As we went out in the ocean fishing the weather was SO nice. We cought quite a few blue's and spanish. (pictures soon!) Andrew LOVES going out fishing, esp. with my uncle.. I believe Andrew wants to grow up and be just like him. :) Thats all I ever hear from him. LOL.

So. As we got back home and in the grind of things my mom called Andrew and said she found us a plane ticket to the FL Keys!! (She calls him WAY more than she calls me.) Upon this conversation she said that we would actually be leaving a day earlier! Yay! So, our plane flight out is Friday afternoon at 5:45pm on June 18th! I cannot imagine the plane flight into FL at sunset! A-MAZ-ING! We are so excited. My dad already told us that if we enjoy the time share this year that he would put a down payment before we leave for next year! :) How nice!

Well, I appologize for no pictures this time.. I am in a hurry to run to Bailey and "pack boxes" for our business since he has to work today. I will be back soon to post a few of each thing! If there is anything mis-spelled, again, Im sorry. Im in a tizzy :) Hope everyone enjoyed their weekend, we sure did!
Stay in touch!

Yahoooo!

So, I was pretty shocked to see that on the TOP 10 lowest paying jobs that being a teacher and a social worker was one of them. Would have never guessed that.. Ecp with a 4 year degree for both. My dad frequently prints mess like his off, and feels the need to share it with me. Although, that did catch my attention!

Hallelujah!

Wow! I am so excited that I pulled off a high B+ in A&P II! Lord knows I really wanted that!

On the side lines, Andrew and I's business started yesterday-- Man we couldn't have asked for things to go any better! We have formed such a great partnership with Rob and Courtney and for that we are blessed.

So I got up yesterday morning at 6AM and got ready, was at Andrews by 7AM. We had to go to Raleigh first thing that morning because Andrew had a final to take at 9AM. So as he took his test I stayed in the truck and did secretary-like things =) No sooner that I got started, he was done..
So we leave Raleigh and head to Perry's Gun Shop so Andrew can pick out a glock (pistol) that my dad is buying him for graduation. We talk about getting night-sights put on//this//that//&& the other. Paid for. Done. He will not see or get until the graduation party at my house.

So from this point on our day was slam packed!! Wilson deliveries, Home deliveries, Red Oak deliveries and then our Nashville and RMT drop - off locations!
Nashville 4:45-5:15
Rocky Mount 5:30-6:00
We were so impressed how every one was there to pick up their produce on time and in a fashionable manner. We had to wait on NO ONE! We were at each of our locations on time and out in no time. What a praise!

In looking back I am just in awe that this vision of Andrews has now become a reality for us. I remember the night Andrew and I started discussing this. I never doubted him (as some folks did) and I stuck by him through all of our planning and many nights making sure things were going to be :just right: for us to make it or break it. So I started designing a brochure with Andrew by my side to "tweak" it. We then had PILES of these printed and distributed/broadcasted.
Andrew set a goal for this year and that was to have 50 customers (with this being our first year). End the end, we ended up with a total of 85 customers! We were both very excited and have enjoyed every minute of everyday.
We sure have had many of double dates through this, making sure things were lined up in accordance for our partners in this- Rob Glover and Courtney Barbour. Thank you so much Rob (our farmer) & Courtney (his amazing girlfriend)! We couldn't have made yesterday go perfect without the help of you guys!

So after a L O N G day yesterday it was nice to still be able to sit on the porch and enjoy watching the sunset while gazing at each other with a smile on our face knowing that a simple vision can be an utter reality!
